Belotero is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that Dr. Iyengar uses to fill in fine lines in the lower eyelids, tear trough, and face. One advantage of this filler is the risk of Tyndall effect is much lower and helpful if you have thin skin. We often see patients referred to us for eyelid surgery after numerous vials of filler placed in their face. This is readily apparent when you see a blue hue to the areas of injection. This is called the Tyndall effect. Due to its consistency, Belotero works well for fine lines in the face without causing this blue hue to occur. Dr. Iyengar is able to determine if Belotero is a good option for nonsurgical rejuvenation of the face.  He is also able to place these fillers in this very delicate areas using a blunt cannula  technique that reduces the risk of any bruising or discomfort.
