Eyelid Cancer / Mohs Reconstruction

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin cancer to affect the eyelid.  San Diego is one of the most desirable places to live in the world and part of that is because of the sunshine.  Sun exposure, however, is a large risk factor for the development of skin cancer.

Dermatologists all over San Diego and even those in large health groups with an oculoplastic surgeon choose our practice for eyelid reconstruction after skin cancer removal in the periocular area.  Dr. Iyengar has a passion and talent for fixing eyelids. Working with an experienced Mohs surgeon and an eye plastic surgeon provides the lowest chance of recurrence and the best cosmetic and functional result.

Case 3:  This is a nice woman who developed a lower eyelid/cheek basal cell carcinoma.

Case 4:  This is a case of nice man that had a basal cell carcinoma removed and reconstructed by a general plastic surgeon.  He ended up with his eyelid pulling down and a condition called ectropion.  Dr. Iyengar was able to fix his eyelid and return it to a more natural position reducing his eye irritation.
