I am so pleased with the outcome of my eyelid surgery with Dr. Iyengar. My right eyelid was drooping down to my pupil and causing everything to seem darker than it was, especially at night. Dr. Iyengar did both my lids and they look great! At night everything is bright again.

I was/am super skeptical about any kind of plastic surgery, but I am in my late 40's & recently my eyelids had started to really sag which was affecting my vision and made me look older than I am. (Otherwise I am a pretty fit guy who takes good care of himself) My wife encouraged me to at least go talk to Dr. Iyengar after one of our best friends had a great experience with him. After a lot of debate, I decided to have my upper lids done and I am SO HAPPY that I did! The surgery was easy and recovery was not bad at all, my biggest complaint was itching for a couple of weeks as the pain was really not an issue. (Regular application of ice packs resolved all pain/ itching) I had the surgery on a Friday, took a week off and was back in the office the following Monday. It is now 6 weeks post-surgery & my eyes look super natural and much bigger, and all of the sagging is gone! People actually comment on it & that feels great, but most importantly my peripheral vision is much better and the world seems brighter! I'm so happy that I did it & highly recommend Dr. Iyengar & the wonderful staff at SD Eyelid Specialists!

Outstanding experience!!

In January of 2022 I had an upper blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Iyengar. During the consultation, Dr. Iyengar and his assistant Kristina made certain I felt comfortable asking a myriad of questions about the surgery and the recovery process. From that moment on, every interaction I had with Dr. Iyengar and his gracious staff, further confirmed I made the best choice with San Diego Eyelid Specialist. Dr Iyengar is not only a brilliant doctor, he is a kind spirit, a good-humored genius and genuinely cares about his patients. He performed an impeccable surgery that completely changed my life and wowed all of my family and friends! The recovery was a breeze and he continually checked in with me throughout the process. I am grateful beyond measure to have found the most qualified group of professionals to trust with this type of surgery.

Someone kept hanging up…….hmmmmm

I went in because I hated that you could never see my eye makeup because my eyelids sagged too much. The surgery lasted one hour. I was able to take care of my kids the next day. The recovery is minimal. I didn’t wear makeup for about 3 weeks during recovery and my kids healed perfectly! I am so pleased I did the surgery at age 42.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Iyenger and his nurse Christine. Very professional, calm and Perfect results! Very , very little pain involved. The procedure took an hour, and my eyes look like they did 10 years ago! Thank you very much !!!

If you’re looking for a “ refreshed” look and don’t want anyone noticing you had cosmetic surgery, then this is the guy. I did my research and chose this doctor and it was the best decision I made. Very professional and he take time to answer all your concerns before and after surgery. All my friends had nothing but great comments after my surgery. No more bags or droopy eyelids. Don’t go anywhere else !

I had Dr. Iyengar perform the blepharoplasty procedure in October 2021. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Iyengar is highly skilled and has a great calming disposition. His team is courteous and professional. The cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

I had a rare, cancerous tumor above my right eye. After spending far too much time and testing, with a major San Diego Health Organization, trying to diagnose my condition, I decided to seek another doctor. Dr. Iyengar came highly recommended by my ophthalmologist. While waiting with my test results in Dr. Iyengar's reception room, another patient gave me a strong, unsolicited, endorsement of the doctor. I thought this was a good sign. I took Dr. Iyengar about 30 seconds to review the results of the MRI and give me a tentative diagnosis. As it turned out, it was a correct diagnosis. Since the tumor was above my right eye and behind the part of my skull above the eye socket, I could have been apprehensive about the surgery. But Dr. Iyengar has a strong desire to do great work. My tumor was rare enough that I don't think the doctor had seen one before. He took the time to learn more about the condition so he would be prepared for the surgery. Dr. Iyengar performed the surgery, extracted the tumor and I experienced zero complications. You would never know I had surgery at all. Dr. Iyengar removed the tumor a couple of years ago. I recently saw the doctor to unclog a duct on my eyelid. That procedure was performed quickly and efficiently. I want to close by offering the same, unsolicited, endorsement I received from another patient a few years ago. I don't think you are going to find a better eyelid specialist than Dr. Iyengar.
