I had upper eyelids surgery on JANUARY 11, 2021 DR. Iyengar did outstanding procedure on my upper eyelids in less than one hour , which improve my vision and changed my whole look. I had a very successful surgery and recovery . Dr. Iyengar is an excellent surgeon.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Iyengar and his staff. I had upper eyelid surgery done and I was very nervous leading up to the operation. He put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable before beginning the operation. The entire operation was done within 20 minutes, pain and discomfort went away after about 2 days, and I had fully recovered within a week. Highly recommend Dr. Iyengar and his team. I don't usually share my beauty secrets but I feel compelled to share my experience at San Diego eyelid specialists. I had an upper eyelid procedure done in less than an hour. Dr Lyengar won me over during my consultation with his honesty and confidence. He understood my concerns and needs. The results are better than I could imagine. His staff was great especially my nurse. She could tell I was really nervous and was able to put me at ease. I returned to his office after one week for my checkup and I was literally almost all the way healed. With very little swelling and bruising. All my friends, family and clients were astounded at how quickly I was healing. I was wearing eye makeup within 10 days and by one month you couldn't tell I ever had surgery. I have no scar and beautiful eyes again!

I am so grateful for Dr. Iyengar, not only did he show up on a Sunday morning in a moments notice, but he literally saved my son’s face. When his surfboard fin sliced him right down the center of his forehead to the bone, I was afraid he would have a thick, noticeable scar for the rest of his life. When the stitches came out a week later, the results were astounding. No one can believe the thin, faint line that was left is from the same injury. I cannot say enough about his skill as a surgeon and the meticulous attention he gave to my son. Thank you Dr. Iyengar!

I discovered Dr. Iyengar of San Diego Eyelid Specialists on Google after weeks of “digging” on the internet to find answers to fix my upper eyelid issues (reduced field of vision and appearance) and who would best meet my needs. The San Diego Eyelid Specialists’ website caught my attention because it contains a thorough explanation of procedures, descriptions of professional experience and numerous patient reviews. I was impressed with the website information and scheduled an initial consultation with Dr. Iyengar. I felt confident after this initial consultation to schedule the procedure. The procedure was done at the Encinitas office and this space was comfortable, clean, and further increased my confidence in my decision. During the entire process, Dr. Iyengar, Kristina and Lea were professional, courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. With each appointment, they made me feel at ease and always offered me an opportunity to ask any question or express any need. I have had my last appointment and could not be more pleased: the surgery was painless, and the team made sure I was comfortable; the instructions before and after the procedure were clear and presented to me in both verbal and written form; questions and concerns during and outside of the appointments were welcomed and answered, and the outcome exceeded my expectations. I am thrilled and I highly recommend San Diego Eyelid Specialists.

Dr Iyengar and his staff went above and beyond to meet my expectations. I had little to no recovery time after DCR surgery and my results were better than expected. Very small incision and my scar has healed- no one can tell that I had surgery. Dr I is efficient and extremely skilled. His office and staff are unlike any other kind of specialties office- very easy to get ahold of, friendly, and time conscious. 10/10 would recommend!

As a medical doctor myself, I understand that not all doctors are alike. For years, I wanted to get my “heavy” upper eyelids done, as with age they only got worse. The main concern I had was not looking like I had my eyes done. I only wanted to have them look normal. It wasn’t until I saw a friend who looked different (better), but I didn’t know why. She told me that she had her upper eyelids done. I knew then that this was the doctor. I checked out Dr Iyengar’s other work and his credentials. Everything I saw was top tier. I had my eyes done in his Encinitas office in July 2020, and it went better than I thought. The doctor was great and reassuring, and his staff were all friendly and helpful. It was all overall a very easy experience. After a few weeks, my eyes were looking near “normal,” just as I wanted. It’s almost 2 months now, and I couldn’t be happier. I have now had a few people ask me what’s different, and said, “why do you look younger.” I smiled (and told them). I am SO glad I did this, and most of all, I am happy that I chose Dr Iyengar.

Dr. Iyengar and his staff are kind, patient and consummate professionals. I was incredibly nervous about having both upper and lower blepharoplasty and general anesthesia for the first time, and even more so after having met with other ‘highly recommended’ plastic surgeons who did nothing to ease my anxiety. Thankfully, I did further research and found SD Eyelid Specialists. I had two consults months apart and both Dr. Iyengar and his staff were gracious and patient with my litany of questions and concerns. Please do not entrust your eyes to any plastic surgeon who is not also an ophthalmic specialist - no matter how much they are hyped. My results are even better than I could have dreamed and the recovery was short, simple and painless. I am so happy I found Dr. Iyengar!

I cannot say enough positive things about the miraculous reconstructive surgery that Dr. Iyngar performed on my Mom after she had an extensive piece of her eyelid removed due to skin cancer. His surgical skills are more than amazing .. Dr Iyngar also has a very caring demeanor and was very patient and thorough in answering all the questions that our family had the surgery.
