Dr. Iyengar and his staff are kind, patient and consummate professionals. I was incredibly nervous about having both upper and lower blepharoplasty and general anesthesia for the first time, and even more so after having met with other ‘highly recommended’ plastic surgeons who did nothing to ease my anxiety. Thankfully, I did further research and found SD Eyelid Specialists. I had two consults months apart and both Dr. Iyengar and his staff were gracious and patient with my litany of questions and concerns. Please do not entrust your eyes to any plastic surgeon who is not also an ophthalmic specialist - no matter how much they are hyped. My results are even better than I could have dreamed and the recovery was short, simple and painless. I am so happy I found Dr. Iyengar!

I cannot say enough positive things about the miraculous reconstructive surgery that Dr. Iyngar performed on my Mom after she had an extensive piece of her eyelid removed due to skin cancer. His surgical skills are more than amazing .. Dr Iyngar also has a very caring demeanor and was very patient and thorough in answering all the questions that our family had the surgery. Dr. Iyengar did my upper eyelid surgery one week ago. I was a little nervous to have the surgery since it was on my eyes, but after meeting with Dr. Iyengar and his staff, I was confident enough to schedule the surgery. I am beyond thrilled with the results already and they are still a little swollen and bruised. Such a difference. The procedure was done very quickly and efficiently. Dr. Iyengar has a magic touch. Dr. Iyengar an excellent surgeon! I had very heavy eyelids that bothered me for years so I decided to consult with Dr. Iyengar after seeing his name in the Top Doctors issue of San Diego magazine. During the consult he mentioned I needed ptosis surgery in my right in addition to the upper blepharoplasty....he was right! I had surgery 4 weeks ago and I am thrilled with my results! I look refreshed and awake now! I can’t write this without mentioning Dr. Iyengar’s office staff...they are just as professional, kind, and welcoming as he is!

I chose Dr. Iyengar because he only does eyelids. I chose well! Had my upper eyelids done on June 2nd. The recovery was much faster and far less obvious than anticipated, and 6 weeks out they look fantastic. He is a warm, kind perfectionist. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I went to see Dr Iyengar for a leaking left eyelid he was able to do both eyelids and fix the leak. I am more than pleased with the results. I don’t have that old lady look because of my sagging eyelids. The whole experience was pleasant and efficient and professional, I’m a nurse and know what to look for. Made an appointment they gave me one,thinking I was going to get surgery done on that day.when I got there the I went inside the room and was told that they have to get an approval from insurance and that they will do the surgery on eye.i was not to happy when I left that place they should had told me that from the beginning and not waste my time taking off of work,paying co-pay and on top driving 44 miles.thanks a lot
