Had Mohs surgery for basal cell on my eyelid. Quite a hunk of tissue removed to excise it. From the beginning I planned on having Dr Iyengar do the reconstruction and I’m VERY happy with my choice and the result. It wasn’t an easy repair and it turned out great. His office was very easy to work with, from initial appointment to surgical scheduling. I’m a physician so I have a pretty good sense of when I’m getting good care and when I’m not. Everything was top notch from start to finish! Would highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

It was really important to me to find a plastic surgeon that specialized in ophthalmology for my eyelid lift. I had a great experience with Dr. Iyengar & his staff. I am thrilled with the results of my procedure and feel the outcome looks so natural!!

Dr.Iyengar removed the extra skin from my upper eyelids. It's a quick procedure. My swollen eyes took about 1.5 to 2 weeks to heal. My little boy accidently scratched my eyelid during recovery period and half the lid was opened (*tips* - wear eyeglasses or goggles around little kids =D). It looked terrible and was quite a scare. Dr. Iyengar was so amazing. He fixed it like it was nothing. He's really good about removing enough of the lids so that the result doesn't change the shape of your eyes (unless you're not loving the shape of your eyes, then just let him know). It was easy making an appointment. His team was very professional and helpful. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

Dr Iyengar is AMAZING! He and his staff went above and beyond! I had a leaky eye - I looked like I was crying all the time! Apparently this is a very delicate surgery but my optometrist assured me that Dr Iyengar at San Diego Eyelid Specialist was an excellent doctor and that is where I should go. He did not even give me the names of any other surgeons! I - of course - had to ask around and literally this was the only name that kept coming up when I would ask people! He took the time to explain the procedure, what would be "happening" during the procedure, what the recovery time and healing would be, and the results - he was very through!! At one point I thought I was having an issue during the first couple of days after the surgery and called the number that was provided to me to use in such an event. Much to my surprise it was Dr Iyengar himself who answered - on a weekend!!! He asked me to send him a picture, got right back to me and all was well!! Seriously above and beyond!!! I would HIGHLY recommend he and his wonderful, helpful staff!!

I recently got my upper eyelids done with Dr. Iyengar. The whole process was such a positive experience. Everyone in that office is supportive and pleasant to work with. Dr. Iyengar has a calm confident presence about him and it shows up in his work. You cant even tell I got this done it looks so natural! I even feel better and can see more in my peripheral vision. The heaviness of my eyelids is gone!! 🙂 im so pleased!!

Dr. Iyengar was Outstanding! My in depth research paid off. I felt no pain and followed the simple instructions for post recovery. I'd strongly recommend Dr. Iyengar to all my friends. He's the Best!

Dr. Iyengar, and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The doctor is very efficient. The surgery center is also efficient and has competent staff. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty. My goals for the procedures were to improve the function of my eyelids and eyelashes as well as expand my visual field. I had a subtle but definite improvement in appearance, with a remarkable improvement in function and I got more of an an improvement in visual field than I thought I would get. I’m very happy that I had this done.
